Privacy policy
HomeHog is operated by Intuzu (“we”). It covers the HomeHog website, the web app at app.homehog.app, and the HomeHog apps for iPhone and Android. This page says what we collect, why, and what we will never do with it. It is written to be read, not to be skimmed by lawyers.
The short version
- We collect what the app needs to run your business: your customers, jobs, quotes, invoices, photos and the like. You put it there; you own it.
- We do not sell, rent or share your data with advertisers, data brokers, lead-generation networks or anyone else, ever.
- We do not use your customers’ contact details to market to them.
- You can export everything from the app at any time, and you can delete your account yourself, in the app, whenever you like.
What we collect
Data you enter
Company details, customers and their properties, quotes, jobs, visits, invoices, payments, time entries, expenses, photos, signatures and notes. Your customers’ names, addresses, phone numbers and email addresses are part of this. You are responsible for having a legitimate reason to hold that information (you do: they hired you).
Account data
HomeHog starts without an account. If you attach an email address to sign in on another device or invite a crew member, we store that email and the sign-in codes we send to it. We do not store passwords because there are none.
Photos and camera
The iPhone and Android apps ask for camera and photo-library access only so you can attach job photos, receipts and your company logo. Only the photos you choose are uploaded, and they are stored with your company’s records. The apps do not read your contacts or your location.
Technical data
Server logs (IP address, request path, timing, errors) kept for about 30 days for security and debugging. On this website (homehog.app) we use PostHog product analytics to see which pages are viewed, what is clicked and your approximate location; we never sell that data. The web app and the iPhone and Android apps run no third-party analytics or advertising trackers, and we do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
Payment data
Card and bank payments are handled by Stripe through your own Stripe account. Card numbers never touch HomeHog; we see the payment status and amount so we can mark the invoice paid.
AI features
Optional features (quote drafts from a description, receipt extraction, note clean-up) send the relevant text or image to a model hosted in our AWS account (Amazon Bedrock). That data is not used to train models and is not retained by the model provider beyond processing the request.
How we use it
To run the product for you: store and sync your records, send the emails and texts you ask us to send (quotes, invoices, reminders), process payments through Stripe, and keep the service secure. That is the full list.
Who can see it
- Your team, according to the roles you assign in the app.
- Your customers, only the quote, invoice or appointment pages you send them, via unguessable links.
- Service providers that host the product: Amazon Web Services (hosting, database, email, file storage and the AI features), Stripe (payments). Each is bound by its own contract to process data only on our instructions.
- Intuzu staff, only when you ask for support or when required to keep the service running, and only as much as needed.
- Authorities, only if legally compelled, and we will tell you unless we are legally barred from doing so.
Where it lives and how long
Data is stored in the United States (AWS us-east-1). We keep it as long as your company exists in HomeHog. When you delete your company, or ask us to, live data is removed within 30 days and backups roll off within 90.
Texting
By default HomeHog drafts messages that you send from your own phone; we never see those. If an optional platform-texting feature is enabled for your company, messages go through our number, we store the message log with the job, and your customers can reply STOP at any time.
Your rights
Wherever you live, we treat you the same way: you can access, correct, export or delete your data. Export is self-serve in the app. Deletion is self-serve too: More → your name → Delete account in the web, iPhone or Android app permanently deletes your account (see how account deletion works). You can also email support@intuzu.com from the address on the account and we will do it for you. If one of your customers asks us directly about their data, we will point them to you as the business that holds it and help you honor the request.
Children
HomeHog is for businesses and is not directed at anyone under 16.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will say so in the app and update the date at the top. We will not weaken the promises on the promises page.
