Terms of service

These are the terms for using HomeHog, a free service operated by Intuzu (“we”). By using HomeHog you agree to them. They are short because the product is free and the deal is simple.

1. What HomeHog is

HomeHog is job-management software for home-service businesses: scheduling, quotes, invoices, payments, customer records and related tools, delivered as a web app at app.homehog.app. It is provided free of charge, with no seats, tiers or contracts. Our public commitments are on the promises page, and those commitments are part of these terms.

2. Your account and your team

You can use HomeHog without creating an account. If you attach an email address, you are responsible for keeping access to that inbox secure. If you invite team members, you are responsible for what they do inside your company’s account and for setting their roles appropriately. You must be at least 18 and using HomeHog for a business.

3. Your data

Everything you enter into HomeHog belongs to you. You give us only the permission needed to store it, back it up, display it to the people you authorize, and send it where you tell us to (for example, an invoice to a customer). We do not sell it, and we do not use it for anything else. You can export it at any time from the app. See the privacy policy for details.

You are responsible for the data you put in: that you have the right to hold it, that it is accurate enough for your purposes, and that you keep your own copies of anything critical. We back up diligently, but you should too.

4. Payments

Card and bank payments are processed by Stripe under your own Stripe account and Stripe’s terms. Stripe’s standard fees apply and are shown on each invoice; HomeHog adds no fee of its own. Stripe, not HomeHog, decides on holds, disputes and payout timing. We are not a party to the transaction between you and your customer.

5. Texting and email

Messages you send from your own phone are yours. Where HomeHog sends email or text on your behalf, you agree to send only to people who expect to hear from you about work they hired you for, to honor opt-outs, and to comply with the laws that apply to you (for example, TCPA and CAN-SPAM in the United States).

6. Acceptable use

Do not use HomeHog to break the law, to harass anyone, to send spam, to store data you are not entitled to, or to attack, overload or reverse-engineer the service. We can suspend or remove a company that does, and we will tell you why.

7. Free means free, and “as is”

HomeHog is provided free, as is and as available. We work hard to keep it reliable and we monitor it around the clock, but we make no warranty that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not liable for lost profits, lost data or indirect damages arising from its use. To the extent any liability cannot be excluded by law, it is limited to US $100. Nothing here limits liability for fraud or for anything the law does not allow us to limit.

8. Changes and ending

You can stop using HomeHog at any time; export your data first if you want it. We can change the product, and these terms, with notice in the app. If we ever had to shut HomeHog down, we would give at least 90 days’ notice and keep export working until the end. We will not introduce per-user pricing or contracts for existing features; that is a promise, not a term we reserve the right to change.

9. Deleting your company

Until self-serve deletion ships, email support@intuzu.com from the address on the account and we will delete your company and its data as described in the privacy policy.

10. The legal bits

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies. These terms, the promises page and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between us about HomeHog.
